WHAT IS DERMAL FILLER?
Dermal fillers are a soft injectable gel, comprised of hyaluronic acid.

Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule which our skin cells naturally produce, attracting water, keeping the skin hydrated.

Dermal fillers consist of stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body.

By injecting hyaluronic acid into the skin it boosts the supply, holding onto water creating a plump appearance. Filler holds 1000 times it’s own weight in water.

While results are seen instantly, it actually takes around 2 weeks for the hyaluronic acid in your filler to settle into your dermal tissues and begin to interact with the water in your skin.

Dermal fillers are not permanent, the gel can last in our bodies for 6-18 months.

The results are reversible. By injecting an enzymne called 'hyaluronidase'. This works by breaking down hyaluronic acid.
